Overview
This is a full-time career opportunity that can be based out of multiple locations throughout our 5 state footprint (PA, NJ, DE, MD, VA) in a hybrid work environment – minimum of 1 day per week in the office.
The primary responsibility of the position is to complete an independent review and evaluation of the credit risk for their assigned borrower relationships. The analysis will encompass the accuracy of the assigned risk ratings, portfolio management and loan documentation practices, adherence to internal and regulatory guidelines, and/or underwriting quality. The incumbent will be required to document support for the conclusions reached in order to validate the accuracy, completeness, and depth of their analysis. The incumbent will need to complete all required activities within the required deadlines of an established review schedule.
Responsibilities
- Complete reviews of their assigned borrower relationships within the required timeframes established in the review schedule. Work should demonstrate a level of accuracy and completeness to support all of the LRO’s findings and be based upon the most appropriate and relevant credit analysis and internal/external policies and procedures. The reviewer’s work product must provide an independent assessment but where required appropriately explain the variances between their conclusions and those reached by the lending/credit department.
- Develop a complete understanding of the relevant policies and procedures for both Loan Review and the bank. Participate in departmental discussions concerning the findings within each review and where appropriate, ongoing RMA or other industry training in order to improve general credit expertise.
- Assist management with sample scoping, scheduling, reporting, second review of peer work product, or training of new personnel.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor Degree or the equivalent experience. Specialty: Business, Accounting, Finance, or other applicable. (Required)
Experience
3 or more years commercial lending and credit training. (Required)
6 months formal credit training from a regional bank. (Preferred)
