Portfolio Manager

General Summary:
Under general supervision, but according to established policies and procedures, develop and maintain, commercial and consumer loan portfolio. Call on current and prospective customers, develop and analyze all types of credit information for commercial and consumer loans, prepare credit reports and presentations for loan committees, furnish information relative to credit inquiries, and provide any other assistance to customers as requested.
Principal Responsibilities and Duties:
- Responsible for maintaining and growing a loan portfolio. This consists of new loan origination, customer monitoring and relationship building and maintenance, and loan administration.
- Generate new prospects as potential bank customers and develop existing customer relationships.
- Be an ambassador to the bank by participating in civic and other community activities/organizations.
- Responsible for the daily functions of maintaining a loan portfolio.
- Establish and maintain the proper documents relating to the perfection of the banks lien position on loans secured by various collateral.
Skills and Abilities Required:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to understand and analyze financial statements, credit reports, tax returns, and all other financial documents.
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong social skills to keep bank customers satisfied with their banking relationship with CNB.
- Ability to adapt to technology changes and apply new knowledge to responsibilities.
Working Conditions:
- Indoor, in an office environment, with a typical 40-hour workweek
- Considerable effort and eyestrain from continuous computer use.
Physical Requirements:
- Occasionally move office equipment and files weighing 10+ pounds.
- Constantly operate phones, computers, copiers, and other office equipment.
- This position frequently communicates with colleagues, customers, officers, and committees. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time to process work.
