Summary
This Credit Union is hiring a full-time MBL Credit Analyst to work out of our Bremerton Harborside branch. The MBL Credit Analyst is responsible for the support of the Business Services and Credit Administration Departments by providing supporting analysis for credit decisions and servicing activities ensuring effective and efficient department operations. This includes new business loan requests, renewals, and annual reviews. The preparation of the appropriate credit analysis and risk rating package. Reviews collateral documents such as appraisals, title policies, environmental reports, surveys, leases, and construction contracts.

Typical Job Duties
- Prepare business loan reports for appropriate approval levels, which would include underwriting and analysis of the business and guarantors’ tax returns, financial statements and cash flow, and Identify strengths and weaknesses of the business borrower and guarantors. Perform collateral stress testing when applicable.
- Review financial ratios for use in evaluating member business performance against industry standards by comparing items such as assets, liabilities, net worth, liquidity, leverage, profitability, and cash flow, with standards for similar type business.
- Perform cash flow analysis using various techniques such as UCA, commercial investment property, residential real estate investment property, and traditional cash flow.
- May be asked to contact business clients, accountants, attorneys or other necessary professionals to clarify questions related to the preparation of the credit analysis package.
- Perform annual reviews and workouts of business loans by formatting and analyzing member financial data. Maintains annual review and risk rating reports.

Basic Qualifications
- High School diploma required. Bachelors’ degree strongly desired.
- Minimum three years of experience in business lending or financial analysis required. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient in reviewing and understanding commercial loan documents.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; ability to learn new software systems quickly.
- Working knowledge of real estate terminology, concepts, practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of NCUA and State of Washington compliance and regulatory environment for Member Business Lending and real estate.
