Staff Accountant



The Staff Accountant will be responsible for tracking and evaluating the day-to-day activities within all areas of the accounting department. Duties include, but are not limited to, reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, accounts payable and payroll processing and reconcilement and quarterly reporting and tracking information pertaining to company assets and income for compliance. Moreover, the candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and poses a strong business acumen. This role will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and requires a high level of professional capabilities. Fully in office.


  • Ability to multi-task by understanding different areas of the accounting department
  • Oversee the daily/monthly/quarterly operations of the accounting department including:
  • Monthly financial reports
  • Daily/Monthly journal entries
  • Bank Statement Reconciliation
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliation
  • Bond Investment Portfolio Reconciliation
  • Accounts Payable/Payroll Process and Reconciliation
  • Fixed Asset Reconciliation
  • Forecasting and budgeting
  • Quarterly Call Report Preparation 
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
  • Oversee and complete audits and tax audits


  • Experience in a financial institution accounting role preferred
  • Advanced computer skills: MS Office Suite
  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to complete month end, and general ledger duties.
  • BS degree in Accounting or Finance or comparable work experience
