JOB SUMMARY:
Manages the Direct Sales function. Supervises the Direct Sales staff and ensures that budgeted revenue targets are met. Provides suppo1t to RMS agents and ISOs and attracts new agents and ISOs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Manages Direct Sales channels and staff. Ensures revenue goals are met and staff is meeting their sales goals.
I. Focuses Direct Sales staff on meeting their account and volume goals.
2. Provides guidance and training to staff.
3. Responsible for increasing the volume of processing accounts to meet average monthly volume goals.
4. When requested, provides input to the Direct Sales Incentive Plan and the annual budget for Direct Sales
CI Provides suppo1t to RMS agents and develops new agent relationships.
I. Acts as liaison with RMS agents.
2. Provides support and training to agents so that accounts are submitted with appropriate documentation.
3. Responds to inquiries from existing agents as well as potential new agents.
4. Plans and carries out the development of new agent relationships.
5. Maintains knowledge of and updates management on agent incentive trends in the market place.
Provides support to ISOs and develops new ISO relationships.
I. Acts as liaison with ISOs.
2. Provides support and training to ISO staff members so that accounts are submitted with appropriate documentation.
3. Responds to inquiries from existing ISOs as well as potential new ISOs.
4. Plans and carries out the development of new ISO relationships. Develops and uses “term sheets” to gather information on potential ISOs.
Interfaces and coordinates with RMS Operations staff as necessary and appropriate
I. Informs Operations of new ISO and agent arrangements.
2. Helps with the management of FDR products and services.
3. Helps Operations with card association requirements pertaining to ISOs and agents.
4. Assists with customer service and management reporting, and provides guidance on industry merchant pricing trends.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS NEEDED TO PERFORM JOB FUNCTIONS:
Previous operations and sales suppo11 experience in the production department within a bank or financial services organization; experience in a merchant card processing unit strongly preferred. Supervisory experience is strongly preferred. Incumbent must be comfortable working in a PC environment as well as working with FDR (or other processors), with wires and ACH. Excellent analytical and organizational skills. Intermediate mathematical, interpersonal, and communication skills.

DECISION MAKING:
Identify best practices to apply to the training and supervision of direct sales staff. Evaluates and manage the performance of subordinates.
Identify new products or services to attract and retain RMS merchants, ISOs, and agents.
Negotiates terms of business relationships with agents and ISOs in consultation and within parameters set by management. Evaluates and ensure that operational activities are compliant with rules and regulations.
Identifies potential opportunities or issues between sales and operations and makes recommendations to management on appropriate resolution of these matters.
