The Commercial Credit Administrator manages the safe growth of the Bank’s Commercial loan portfolio. In a team-oriented environment, the right candidate will maintain a high degree of customer service while also maintaining the integrity of the credit management process by ensuring credit presentations are accurate and thorough, risk grades are accurate and timely, and loan structures are appropriate to manage risk. Support ongoing improvement in the credit process by recommending and implementing policy and procedures modifications as necessary to meet market and regulatory changes. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Maintain the integrity of the credit management process by enforcing Bank policies and procedures:

  • Approve within delegated authority Credit Recommendations. Ensure that credits are accurately risk graded, appropriately structured, and that sources of repayment and key credit risks are accurately identified and mitigated as appropriate.
  • Develop and implement problem loan resolution plans that enhance loan collectability while mitigating litigation risk.
  • Approve within delegated authority Credit Recommendations and Special Action Credit Reports.
  • Ensure that credits are accurately risk graded, appropriately structured, and that sources of repayment and key credit risks are accurately identified and mitigated as appropriate.
  • Voting member of Internal Loan Committee.
  • Assist in with internal and regulatory exams 
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Additional Requirements:

  • Strong commercial underwriting skills.
  • Strong understanding of documentation of complex commercial credits, including notes, business loan agreements, security agreements, and title documents.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to quickly understand and communicate concepts both verbally and in written form.
  • Team contributor as evidenced by positive attitude towards assisting others with job responsibilities as needed, and treatment of co-workers in a positive and respectful manner.
  • Excellent accounting knowledge (college coursework or equivalent work experience) as applied to credit underwriting. 

Education and Experience:

  • 7-10 years related experience and/or training.  
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or University; or equivalent combination of experience and/or training.

The hiring pay range for this position is $150-200k. In addition to the pay range listed, all bank positions are eligible for incentive compensation, which varies based on role. The pay rate for a successful applicant depends on a variety of factors including but not limited to geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
