Description

The Sales and Marketing Director manages the Bank’s marketing function, including corporate events, community relations, public relations, social media, website management, communications, and advertising. The Bank’s marketing efforts are focused on its target market of successful mid-sized businesses and their owners located throughout California. The Marketing Director establishes strategic goals for the department and manages a small team of assigned staff. Acts as the Bank’s Brand Ambassador by attending community events, interacting with business and community leaders, and building brand awareness throughout the Bank’s market areas.

 

Essential Functions:

  1. Plans, manages, and oversees the marketing function to generate leads and support the Bank’s revenue objectives; directs and facilitates development of marketing and measurement plans within the Bank’s strategic plan framework. Develops and implements the strategic marketing plan and marketing budget. Manages daily operational activities and administration of the department, including: leading the overall effectiveness of marketing efforts; ongoing analysis of qualitative and quantitative research; preparing analytical reports and making recommendations.
  2. Provides strong, effective and highly visible leadership to the marketing team to ensure a competent, motivated staff through hiring, training, counseling, supervising, and reviewing performance of employees.
  3. Manages ad agency, printing, and other outsourced vendor relationships as they pertain to the marketing and communications function.
  4. Develops, directs, and implements the overall marketing and communication efforts company-wide.
  5. Develops, creates, and executes marketing programs to support bank objectives.
  6. Develops and implements an annual, strategic special events calendar. Ensures all events are planned and managed in a creative, timely, and cost efficient manner to provide value added services to our clients, while maximizing ROI to the Bank.
  7. Plans and oversees advertising and brand activities including print, online, electronic media, social media, and direct mail. Establishes, develops, and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all products and services, collateral and promotional materials, and events.
  8. Directs and oversees the coordination of community events and company participation.
  9. Manages public relations efforts, such as image development, contributions, and media relations.
  10. Plans, directs, and executes the marketing of new and existing products and services.
  11. Supports Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) through business development efforts. Actively participates in community organizations.
  12. Maintains a current knowledge of bank regulations. Ensures compliance with all Federal, State and Bank policies, procedures, and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field
  • Six to eight years of related experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated creative skills.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Computer literacy including spreadsheets, word processing, and database management.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication, and presentation skills.
