Director of Commercial Loan Processing & Closing


Overall Accountability

·         Direct and lead commercial loan processing, documentation and funding team to deliver a referrable member experience while maintaining compliance with all related laws, regulations and policies

·         Responsible for determining documentation standards and compliance within systems

·         Drive operational change that create and maintain efficiencies, mitigate risk and improve accuracy and collaboration with the commercial team

·         Assist preparing for audits and regulatory examinations

·         Responsible for overseeing documentation review and compliance

·         Review and audit Sageworks during process to ensure SLA’s are being met

·         Monitor and assign new loan requests

·         Collaborate with Underwriting, Servicing and Operations for greater strategic plans

·         Collaborate with Portfolio Manager to prepare necessary documents for post-closing loan modifications

·         Develop and maintains processes, procedures and training of commercial operations team

·         Provides standardized training and functional requirements of commercial processing, closing and funding

·         Other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications

 High school diploma or GED, 5-10 years’ experience in loan support systems and 2-5 years’ leadership experience. Proficient knowledge of commercial lending along with compliance and documentation regulations. Proficient LaserPro experience. Professional written, verbal communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to produce quality work within tight time frames while managing multiple assignments.  Ability to work on core processing systems (JHA) and department specific processing systems (Sageworks / Laser Pro).  Knowledge of Microsoft Office and JHA. Strong work ethic, the ability to prioritize and adapt to changing deadlines, advanced interpersonal skills, excellent communication, and the desire to work as a team to support the overall success of the credit union.  Strong knowledge base about conventional policies and procedures.
