GENERAL SUMMARY

Responsible for managing a portfolio of loan and deposit relationships with customers.   Responsibilities include recommending loans for approval within assigned limits, managing loan and portfolio credit quality, and cross-selling appropriate bank products and services to prospects and customers. Provides assistance to Relationship Managers with day to day underwriting responsibilities.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

·        Retains and expands relationships with existing customers.

·        Prospects for and closes new business relationships with partnership with Relationship Managers.

·        Grows net revenue year over year as directed by Senior Management.

 

·        Provides training/coaching to Credit Analysts as assigned.

 

·        Manages credit quality. Structures, underwrite and recommend new and existing relationships in accordance with Company credit policy. Properly identify risk management and risk rating.

 

·        Manages assigned customer relationships and brings in appropriate product specialists as needed.

 

·        Resolves customer problems and acts as a liaison with other departments to ensure that the customer experiences the highest level of service and support.

 

·        Manages overall customer and regional credit underwriting strategies. Develops and implements relationship strategies for cross-selling bank products and services. Satisfies customer requirements by providing a full array of loan, deposit, cash management and other appropriate bank products.

·        Responsible for keeping current on the bank’s lending policies, products, and services.

 

·        Participate in community and CRA activities in order to promote the Company’s brand in our communities.

 

·        Actively ensure compliance with the Company’s Code of Ethics and all Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering, USA Patriot Act, information security and suspicious activity reporting requirements, policy and procedures. Actively participates in any required corporate and business line training in these areas. Follows account opening procedures and understands and follows internal suspicious activity referral requirements and processes, as required for this position. Actively works with customers to understand each customer’s normal account activity, as appropriate for this position.

·        Computer skills to include use of Microsoft Office products and other programs as required.

Education/ Licenses/ Work Experience

·        Level One: Typically manages all credit facets of a medium to large sized portfolio of loan and/or deposit relationships. Effectively handles complex credits. Incumbent typically has a Bachelor’s degree and five to seven years of commercial lending experience. Broad knowledge and experience in banking operations, product, and services. 

 

·        Level Two: Typically manages all credit facets of a large and complex portfolio of loan and/or deposit relationships. Routinely handles complex financial transactions, customer relationships and recommends credit decisions. Incumbent typically has a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) and seven to ten years of commercial lending experience. Broad knowledge and experience in banking operations, product, and services. 

 

Work Environment

•       Standard office environment with a moderate noise level.

 

Physical Demands

·        Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

·        The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position for sustained periods of time. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery.

·        The employee is occasionally required to raise objects up to 25 pounds from a lower to a higher position, move objects horizontally from position to-position with, and/or to bend body downward and forward, extending hands and arms in any direction to access files.

·        Consistent use of a computer and other office machinery is required, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. Making substantial and repetitive movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

·        Close visual acuity is required to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading.

·        While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate verbally employees, clients and vendors.

·        The person in this position must stay awake and alert during assigned work time.
