What You’ll Do

 

As the day-to-day leader of the Central Operations team, the VP/Central Operations Manager guides and reviews the work of Central Processing and Central Operations Utility employees. While operating within the Bank’s risk appetite, this position achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, communicating and reporting risks of all types and will review, develop and implement Bank policy, procedure and compliance processes.

 

Responsibilities include

 

  • Manage the Bank’s fraud prevention, investigations and customer dispute processes, involving business partners as needed
  • Coordinate daily workflow to disperse information to business partners in other areas, including general ledger entries
  • Coordinate the investigation of debit card, ACH or fraud/disputes issues with the appropriate fraud/dispute investigative unit or agency, and working with FiServ EFT as appropriate
  • Approve daily work and reports to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Respond to and resolve complex branch problems; include Operations Services Officers and/or Operations Administrator when necessary
  • Provide guidance to Central Operations team and ensure all required tasks are complete and accurate daily
  • Manage the operations of the wire transfer function including international, domestic, and reverse wires
  • Make independent decisions in absence of the Operations Administrator, taking partners as needed and exercising good judgment
  • Ensure appropriate GLs/Accounts/Vaults are all in balance
  • Ensure staff is sufficiently trained to maintain operating schedules and established quality controls of the department
  • Interact with the internal departments to identify trends/issues and offer recommendations for improvements to policy and procedures, as applicable
  • Assist with ACH processing
  • Working with Operations Administrator, engage in hiring process for Central Operations team
  • Manage performance of direct reports and address any concerns in a pro-active and productive manner
  • Responsible for the completion of scheduled internal audits and other special projects, assist and gather all required documents for internal and external Bank audits
  • Provide adequate training and evaluation, for Central Operations positions
  • Develop, update and implement operational policies and procedures that minimize operational loss exposure
  • Update fraud and dispute policies and procedures and maximize Operating efficiency
  • Ensure department equipment is properly maintained and that an adequate stock of office supplies is available

Qualifications

 

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree a plus, especially in Finance or Business
  • 5-10 years of Central Operations experience required
  • Debit Card support experience
  • Fedline Advantage Administrator experience
  • Wire Transfer Software and Wire Room supervision experience
  • Correspondent Banking reconciliation experience
  • Check Adjustments Subject Matter Expert on Reg J and Check 21 regs
  • ACH Operations, AAP certification preferred
  • Completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors preferred

Pay Range (Salary): $79,032 – $105,000/year
