VP of Network Technical Operations

 

Direct Supervisor for Engineers, PC Techs and Help Desk Staff

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and monitor infrastructure concerning best practices to assure uptime and access for all employees, members and third-party partners. This includes all systems, software and telephony.
  • Ensure that all process and procedure documents for the Network are properly maintained to support team responsibilities and systems.
  • Work closely cross-functionally on projects to identify needs, architect solutions and implement to assure successful completion and to plan, cost and complete projects that are in the scope of the strategic plan.
  • Monitor service levels while looking for constant improvement opportunities in performance, quality, and consistency. Report on service level agreements and work to improve all service.
  • Develop key metrics and reporting to articulate the operational performance of the infrastructure.
  • Ensure Network efforts are achieving organizational goals and timely delivery of work product with secure coding practices.

 

Requirements:

·         BS in Information systems, Computer Science degree or related experience.

·         Minimum 10 years’ experience in installing/running LAN/WAN technology and telecommunications with 7 years of management experience. Including management skills in planning, project management, budgeting, people development and teamwork.

·         Provide direct leadership to direct reports in a fair and equitable manner. Ability to bring IT solutions to business/member-service issues while managing costs and risk. Must be able to make decisions in a high-pressure work environment while maintaining a cohesive and encouraging environment.

·         Provide analytical and organizational skills with strong technical background in network and internet systems. 

·         Strong understanding of Microsoft and internet tools and techniques used in deploying scalable networked computing systems with superior working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Windows servers, PC hardware and peripherals, Firewalls, and Internet protocols.

·         Strong working knowledge and experience in VMWare, VSphere and SAN environment.

·         Experience in network operating systems, protocols, WAN design, configuration and implementation required.

·         Prefer CISCO Certified Network Associate, MCSE.

·         Must be available if needed after hours to support the team as to diagnose and solve problems remotely.
